The "Scentsy" Winner and A Little Rambling!

So...I am sorry to keep you all wondering who the winner is today.

I am on another mini-vacation and was traveling most of the day yesterday and into the early morning. My husband is on a TDY for work...o.k., decipher the code...temporary duty assignment, in Salt Lake City, Utah. The kids and I came to spend the last week with him in the suite he is staying in and have some play time with friends we have here.

I just traveled 11 hours with 5 kids (remember I have 4 boys...lot's of noise) 1 girl, and we only stopped 2 times! I know 2 times...I was impressed. It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. I have made many road trips over the years by myself with my kids when they were much smaller...even when some of them were only a couple of months old. Not always the easiest thing to do. Luckily we all survived this trip!

We actually didn't have as much fighting as I anticipated we would. I initiated the old standard car game the Alphabet game. It kept us all entertained driving between Albuquerque,NM and Durango, Colorado trying to find the letters in order on license plates and road signs. Once we entered Colorado, of course the scenery went from Land of Enchantment, brown desert and lots of rock to luscious green pastures, pine trees and mountains.

My daughter Drama Queen (name change from Miss Shining Star, was not sitting with her right) put in her CD "Sound of Music",( she was one of the Von trapp Children, Louisa a couple of years ago for a High School play) which seemed to fit the mood perfectly. As the music started we all began to sing, you know we sounded like song birds, (o.k. not all of us) ♪ "The__♫ hills are alive__♪ with ♫ the sound of muuusic___"♪ and even the boys were enjoying singing "Do, Re, Mi" on cue. I know they would not want to admit this to their friends, but I sure had fun spending some time with them all doing some silly things.

After stopping in Moab for our last break, dinner and gas we finished out our ride having in depth talks and sharing some of my childhood memories with the oldest children Drama Queen (13), The Comedian (12), and The Artist (11) while the littlest ones, Li'l Bug(4) and Mister Inquisitive (8) slept. Once we started climbing the mountains to come into Salt Lake we then put on our night vision using our eagle eyes trying to see every deer so we wouldn't hit them or them hit us. Finally our destination came about 2 this morning and of course the kids were happy to see dad and had slept enough now they were on their 2nd wind! Trying out the beds in our suite...that is jumping from one bed to the next, we knew we were going to be dragging today. Dad of course was thrilled that they were now so awake when he had to be up for work by 6 a.m.

So...why am I sharing all this? It gives a good insight to why this post is so late today ! So without further suspense...

The winner of the Scentsy warmer and scent bar is..................

Tara, from *Family Traditions...one story at a time! Yay!! You won the beautiful Cherry Blossom warmer and Scent of your choice!

Congratulations to you!! I really wish I could have every person win that enters. The good thing is that every week it just might be you that could win something here with each Whimsy Spotlight...don't miss out!!

If you are wanting to get you some Scentsy or have tried and love it as much as I do and need more, Sara is ready for you to order! She ships all over the United States, so order away.

I just bought another warmer (The Luminous, so pretty) and a couple of scents on Saturday and gave them as a gift to our new neighbors. Some of the scents I picked were Red Delicious...MMmm as if I was eating a real apple and Coconut Palm, which reminded me of being young putting the "Sun In" in my hair and smothering myself with coconut oil, (before the days of lots of SPF) and laying out under the sun with my friends...not recommending this now days. That is how amazing the smells are!

They were thrilled! That is another reason I love Scentsy so much. It makes great birthday, wedding, house warming, or a "just because" gift! I always make sure they have the catalog too so that when they need more, and I promise you they will, they know where to order.

Here are a few scents I would also recommend, Fresh Cut Cantaloupe, Blueberry Cheesecake, French Lavender, French Kiss, Black Raspberry Vanilla, Flirtatious, Skinny Dippin, and Strawberry Sweetie...these are just a few of my favorites. Remember they have over 80 amazing scents!! I saw many comments on more that I want to try as well.

If the thought of having your own business appeals to you, Scentsy could be the great opportunity you need. Their products easily sell itself! Sara has some specials on start up kits for the month of July, so if your interested make sure to e-mail her for more information.

I can't wait to show you who the next Whimsy Spotlight is on Wednesday and of course you all know another great Giveaway is coming your way too! Stay tuned!

Hugs to you!
